What is EHSS?
HK$3.5 billion government initiative (2020-2028) funding charging infrastructure retrofits in older private residential buildings. Covers wiring upgrades, distribution boards, and smart meters.
Green Environment
Supports Hong Kong’s 2050 zero-emissions goal by enabling home charging and cutting fossil fuel use.
Funding
Funds EV infrastructure (up to HK$30,000/space or HK$15M/building) for older properties that can’t afford upgrades.
Equitable Access
Ensures fair access to chargers for all residents in shared buildings.
